We're excited to roll out a significant update aimed at drastically improving game performance on low-end PCs while also reducing GPU usage for more powerful setups. Here's what's been done:

• Material Optimization for Trees and Grass (Low Effect Quality Setting): If you’re playing on a low-end PC, we strongly recommend using the "Low" Effect Quality setting. This change is crucial for performance. Additionally, we’ll be working on visual improvements for grass in a future update, as it currently appears a bit dark. 
• Significant Reduction in Terrain Triangles on outdoor maps, making them much lighter to render.
• Drastic Reduction in Draw Calls by 2 to 3 times on average, which you’ll particularly notice in Viridian City. 
• Faster Loading Times for maps like Pallet Town, Route 1, and Diglett’s Cave. Similar improvements will be rolled out progressively across all maps.

No matter your hardware setup, you should experience better performance. 
These optimizations are also aimed at addressing GPU-related Fatal Errors.
